Easy route

EASY ROUTES - For an easy mountain route we need a typical mountain equipment, namely suitable mountain boots. There's no need to use hands while walking, although movement can be facilitated by using hiking poles.

Goli vrh (1787 m)

The best viewpoint overlooking the Jezersko Valley lies on the border with Austria, between Velika Baba and the Jezerski Vrh saddle. The path to Goli vrh is steep but technically easy and nowhere exposed.

More
The path constantly runs through the forest, making it suitable for both summer heat and the harshest winter when elsewhere there is a rish of avalanches. As the name suggests, the peak of the mountain is completely bare and grassy. From there, there is an outstanding view of the northern wall of the Grintovci, the entire Jezersko Valley, Štegovnik, Storžič, the Karawanks, Triglav, southern Carinthia with Obir, all the way to Peca and Raduha.
At the top stands a cross made of Jezersko larch. In the summer months, you can enjoy views and a well-deserved refreshment in the company of sheep of the indigenous Jezersko-Solčava sheep breed, which graze on the slopes of Goli vrh.

Trail: From the Planšar Lake (Planšarsko Jezero), walk along the theme trail to the parking lot in the Ravenska Kočna valley. From the parking lot, head left into the slopes of the western slope of Goli Vrh. After about an hour, you will reach the saddle and meadows of Jenkova Planina, where the path splits: To the right towards Baba, but you go left past the shepherd's cottage steeply upwards to the peak. Descent is via the same path, or you can use the path on the Austrian side (marked with Austrian waymarkers) to a forest road, which will lead you in a circle back to the shepherd's cottage and then back down the ascent path to the valley.

Kozji vrh (1628 m)

Isolated, less frequently visited peak rewards us with unique views of Kočna, which reigns over the Kokra Valley, Jezersko, from its unusual southern side, and of the entire Storžič group, which is clearly visible from the peak.

More
The path winds up the Robce mountain pasture across the entire northern and western slopes, so that we reach the peak from a completely different side than the one we started from: from the west.

Route: From the Kanonir guest house, follow the road along the Reka stream to the marked turnoff for Kozji vrh, where you can also park. Continue left through the forest road past the meadow to the Robce mountain pasture. The road further up turns into a logging trail and then into a path, leading us through forested slopes around the hill to the pass between Kozji vrh and Turni. From the pass, continue through the forest to the peak. Descend along the same path. (Source: Jezerska planinska pot. Guide and diary. PD Jezersko, Jezersko, 2018)
