The Alpine river Kokra springs in three branches under Mt. Virnikov Grintovec in Komatevra valley at an altitude of 1100–1300 metres. At Spodnje Jezersko, left tributary Jezernica flows into the Kokra river which after 35 kilometres in Kranj empties into the river Sava. Altitude difference from its source to the confluence with Sava is approximately 950 metres.

Access: Follow the gravel road in direction of Partisan hospital Krtina where at the last sign for the hospital small path branches off and continues up the stream.
