Former Partisan hospital Krtina (Partizanska bolnica krtina)
A part of the war times history in Jezersko can be seen in a partisan hospital Krtina, hidden in the woods of Komatevra. This small wooden cottage built in 1944 served as a hospital for wounded soldiers. There is still some equipment preserved, such as fireplace, kettles, tools and some other objects. It was burned down on the 13th January 1945 when also one of the wounded soldiers was killed. Up to that day 30 soldiers were treated in the hospital. The hospital was in 1951 restored to its original form.
Access: On the main road to Jezersko drive past Penzion Kanonir and at the hamlet of Bajte turn left acroos a smaller bridge. At the bridge there is also a sign Partizanska bolnišnica Krtina. Follow the asphalt road, when it ends continue on a gravel road, pass the travertine quarry and Robnik homestead. Passing a wooden bridge, take a path on your right which leads to the wooden steps and up to the hospital.
