Traditionally, every second Sunday in August, the Lake Inn and the Jezersko Tourist Board organize the oldest ethnographic event in Slovenia, the Shepherd's Ball, which is being held for the 63rd time in a row this year. We will show the old customs of life on the mountain pastures, the sheep drive down to the valley and the work related to the processing of sheep's wool: from manual shearing, spinning and weaving to knitting socks.
We will spoil you with traditional domestic dishes on an open fire: Masunjek with sour milk and buckwheat stew with cabbage were dishes that shepherds once prepared on alpine pastures. Freshly roasted snowballs still show the celebratory character of the event.
Join us for an inspiring travel evening about the famous trekking route around Mont Blanc.
KUD Jezersko invites you to a very special film evening under the mountains, on Saturday, August 16, at 9:00 PM at the Županov Kot ampitheatre.
