Winter conditions in the mountains

The Mountain Rescue Service Jezersko warns, despite the bad winter in the valley, the mountains still have completely winter conditions, which require a lot of knowledge and winter equipment (crampons, ice ax, helmet, avalanche safety gear) for a safe journey.

Especially on the mountain trails, that lead to the mountain huts to Česka hut and Kranjska hut in Ledine.

Access to them in annual conditions is usually possible from the second half of May.

At this time, we therefore recommend tours to Goli vrh, Pristovški Storžič, Virnikov Grintovec, Veliki vrh, Štegovnik and Kozji vrh.
